A reference from today’s Boston Globe - www.waxy.org’s Eldred commentary in cartoon form!
-
Larry’s op-ed from the Saturday NYTimes: Protecting Mickey Mouse at Art’s Expense (via Doc’s weblog) - wherein Larry gets a typo past the NYTimes editors (”eminent” instead of “imminent”) and describes an alternative to copyright term extensions that he floated at ILaw last summer - a fee for renewal of copyright after a certain point - employing market valuation to manage the problem. Larry’s posted a FAQ
-
Today’s NYTimes also has letters to the editor, responding to the Times’ editorial of Thursday. The shock is that these are the ones that they selected to print - representative of the kind of knee-jerlk commentary that you find in the worst of Slashdot, with only one interesting comment - the third of the four.

Ugh - now Microsoft is into the act - their copy protection scheme for CDs (this is an MSNBC link, so it probably won’t last long…) See the Slashdot comments
