So, the big news today seems to be Palladium - Microsoft’s answer to DRM for the masses - of course, you need a new computer, new peripherals and a new OS - open source? Hah!
Oh, and NPR is rethinking their deep linking position.
Update: Moby coins/describes the Pearl Jam Effect - lower CD sales for musicians with technically savvy fans?

Wired has a discussion of a band called Fischerspooner, which has managed to exploit the Internet and webcasting to market themselves. It will be interesting to see how they respond to the continuing shutdown of webcasters.

Wired has some letters to the editor in response to their article on the NPR deep linking controversy. Note that NPR has posted a response suggesting that they are rethinking the policy - Slashdot discusses and Cory Doctorow is unconvinced.
